Why we exist

Acknowledge what you've already built

In today's fast-paced world, it can be challenging to take a step back and recognise your accomplishments. But celebrating your successes is crucial for boosting confidence, mental health, and a fulfilling life.

At ALIBI Awards, we believe in acknowledging the traits, efforts, and achievements of Australian businesswomen — and using that recognition to inspire further growth and success. Our awards honour outstanding women across 28 categories, and we invite all female entrepreneurs to nominate themselves or others.

28 Diverse Categories

We have 28 categories covering a wide range of businesses, giving everyone the chance to showcase their talents and achievements. Take a look at the categories, read the requirements, and give it a go — even if you're not feeling confident.

Real Benefits

Participating brings recognition and exposure for your business. As a nominee, finalist or winner, you receive a digital media pack, a surprise delivered to your door, plus other extras. To us you're more than an entry — you're an amazing lady in business with a story we want to hear.

Awards Night

Our Awards Night on Saturday 24th October 2026 will be anything but ordinary. A night to remember — filled with excitement, celebration, and recognition of remarkable achievements. In previous years we've had drinks, fireworks, and the founder once moved a cruise ship out of the way for the perfect photo.

Who Is ALIBI

Every Australian lady in business is the face of ALIBI.

Australian Ladies in Business Initiative — or ALIBI, as it's fondly known — believes that every member of our community is the face of ALIBI. But if you're asking about the founder, that would be me, Kylie King. I'm an award-winning hypnotherapist, past life regressionist, #1 bestselling author, and small business advocate. I've entered, won, and judged various awards, including international ones. With all that experience, I've taken the best bits of other awards programs and combined them to make the ALIBI Awards the best around.

I invite you to check out the categories and nominate yourself or other amazing business owners who deserve recognition. I'm a strong believer that being a professional business owner doesn't mean you can't have fun — that's why we've made sure to add some to the mix. Join me on this journey, and I promise you'll have a good time, and who knows, maybe even a laugh or two.

Acknowledgement of Country

I wish to acknowledge the Dharug and Gundungurra People as the custodians of the place where the Australian Ladies in Business Initiative is based. The sacredness of this place in the Blue Mountains is deeply enjoyed and I acknowledge that part of its special nature is because of the custodial role you undertake here. Thank you. I'd also like to acknowledge all other Aboriginal peoples across this land and your deep and unwavering spiritual connection to the land, sea, and community. My admiration for your cultural connections and community inspires me to hold a space for a connected, authentic, and fun community of business ladies. I pay respect to the Elders of the lands across Australia and am committed to continue listening and learning how the Australian Ladies in Business Initiative can be inclusive of First Nations people.
