The entry fees for the Australian Ladies in Business Initiative’s Awards are necessary to cover the costs associated with organising and implementing the event.
As an independent awards program, we aim to celebrate and recognise the incredible achievements of women in business across Australia. By charging a reasonable entry fee, we can ensure that the event is of the highest quality and provides an exceptional experience for all attendees. This includes venue hire, catering, awards production, marketing, and administrative costs.
We believe that the entry fee is a small investment that can lead to significant benefits for participants, including increased exposure, networking opportunities, and industry recognition.
It’s also important to note that the entry fee helps to ensure that the ALIBI Awards remain sustainable and can continue to support women in business for years to come.

A free form and a form where you can nominate and pay for the person’s nomination.
What a great surprise for a fellow business owner for you to nominate and pay for their entry.
Nominating someone to show recognition is an amazing gestured. However, from feedback we received when researching these awards, people who were nominated and then faced with an entry fee, didn’t tend to feel grateful for the recognition but stressed especially when they were then sent an invoice or bill to progress their nomination.
If you think someone would be great for the awards and deserve to win then please feel free to share the awards with them via email or on social media and then they can enter the awards themselves.
However, if you want to nominate them so all they have to do is answer the questions and enter their submission form than you will need to pay the fee when you nominate them via the website.
No not at all. Let’s face it sometimes life happens even with best intentions, and we don’t believe you should be penalised for being unable to attend.
We would love for you to attend though to celebrate with your fellow finalists and in the event that you win, to deliver a speech and celebrate your achievement on the Awards Night.
We believe that adding video submissions for finalists is a great way to get to know the person behind the business and create a more personal connection between the judges and the finalists. We also wanted to make sure that everyone has a fair chance of winning, regardless of their ability to hire someone or rely on AI to help with their written entry.
While we still accept written submissions for the initial entry phase, the video submissions for finalists allow us to see and hear directly from the business owners and get a better understanding of their passion and vision for their business.
We believe that this additional step will help us make more informed decisions and ensure that the most deserving finalists are selected as winners.
